Slow Cooker Melt in Your Mouth Cube Steak
1 pound cube steak
3 tablespoons oil
1 cup sliced mushrooms
3 cups water, divided
3 envelopes beef gravy (1 ounce each)
Roll cube steak in flour. Place in hot oil and sear on both sides. Do not cook through. Place steak in a slow cooker. Top with mushrooms and 2 cups of water. Cook on low for 8 hours. 30 minutes before serving mix the gravy packets with the remaining cup of water. Pour over the cube steak and let cook another 30 minutes or until the gravy has thickened.
